After the presentation, we honed our skills in tent pitching and rope-work techniques. We were also given the opportunity to engage in outdoor cooking. This was the highlight of the day as many of us have never used kitchen utensils except to fork or to spoon food into our mouths. The ‘Nasi Lemak’ may not be the best of fare but it was delicious when stomachs were rumbling. As all good things must come to an end, likewise our "expedition" had to come to its closing chapter. We were reluctant to part with our newfound friends. However, I believe everyone has learnt useful survival and expedition tips. Most of all, we have learnt to look upon ourselves as positive people who can work together with camaraderie. We are looking forward to next year’s greater adventure. Au voir!
